Marianna d' Auenbrugg

- 1786

Marianna D'Auenbrugg was a Viennese pianist and composer active in the latter part of the eighteenth century. Both she and her sister Katharina were distinguished keyboard players; Haydn dedicated six of his piano sonatas to them, and wrote, "The approval of the Demoiselles von Auenbrugger most important to me, for their way of playing and genuine insight into music equal those of the greatest masters."
