Elisa Kahn-Ellis

A composer, conductor, and music educator, Elissa Kahn-Ellis was born in Brooklyn, NY. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Composition from the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, CCNY; a Master of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins;, and the Doctor of Music degree from Temple University. Among her many works, she has composed songs, music for various chamber ensembles-including a string quartet and a double woodwind quintet- works for orchestra, an oratorio based on the biblical story of Queen Esther, a Viola Concerto, and a piano methods book.
