1731 - 1765

Elisabetta de Gambarini's artistic activity was centered in the London area, where she lived with her husband. In her youth she was revered as a soprano soloist and was reputed to have sung several mezzo soprano roles in Handel oratorios. Some documentation exists suggesting that Gambarini was an organist and an orchestral conductor, as well as a singer and a composer.
