Isabella Colbran
1785 - 1845

Colbran studied singing with various virtuosos of her day. After a successful debut in Paris, she enjoyed a performing career in Italy. Colbran married the composer Rossinni, although she divorced him shortly afterward. In addition to her singing career, she composed four collections of songs.
