Rosa Giacinta Badalla
1660 - 1715
Recorded in the lists of the Benedictine monastery of Santa Radegonda in Milan, Badalla's solo motet book has been described as remarkable for its self-assured compositional technique. Published at a young age (some estimates place her at 20) she later composed some secular cantatas in addition to her sacred music.
